Mary Kausch has a record of success and accomplishment in the field
of human resources and organization development.
As an independent human resource and organization
development consultant, she helps good people produce great
results by providing consultation
for increasing performance, leading and managing
with purpose, employment practices and employer-employee
relations for all sizes
and types of businesses, organizations, universities,
government, and not-for-profits.
Mary has become a generational
guru by working with
more than 10,000 employees across the United
States in gaining knowledge and awareness
of the generational “reference
points” that
have shaped the values, attitudes and behavior
at work.
Another area of specialty for Mary is incorporating experiential
learning into team building and leadership development
workshops. For the past 15 years, she has designed
exercises, activities and adventure experiences
for clients to fully realize the behaviors
required for “teams” and
“leadership.” She is a DiSC certified trainer
and qualified in Myers Briggs.
Mary teaches “Conducting Performance Appraisals” and “Fundamentals
of Human Resources” with the St. Louis Community Colleges, has
served as an adjunct instructor of Organizational Behavior at Purdue
University in the School of Organizational Leadership and Supervision
and taught “English as a Second Language” to Spanish speaking
adults.
Mary is a published author, co-authoring the book Benefits,
Compensation & Other
Perks and writing the articles “Solving
the Mysteries of Motivation,” “Generational Harmony in a
Diverse Workplace,” and “Bridging the Gap:
When Generations Collide.”
Mary has a degree in Human Resources and Business & Industrial
Communications from Southwest Missouri State
University, Springfield, Missouri. She has
more than 23 years of hands-on human resource
experience from positions with Citicorp as
a Human Resource Specialist, Whirlpool as the
Employee Benefits Supervisor and as Director
of the Tecumseh Leadership Center, an experiential training
and development facility for corporations,
businesses and not for profit organizations.
Mary is also involved in both local and national professional organizations
including the St. Louis
Region’s
Organization Development Network (ODN), the
International Society of Performance Improvement
(ISPI), American Society for Training and Development
(ASTD), and the Society of Human Resource Management
(SHRM). She is also past-President of the Meramec
Valley Grotto caving club. Mary has served
on the Program Committee of the Board for the
Coro Leadership Center and is currently an
advisor for Venture Crew 982 of the Boy Scouts
of America.
